AP Forest Section Officer Jobs 2025 – 100 Vacancies

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the official Notification No. 07/2025 for the recruitment of 100 Forest Section Officers (FSO) under the A.P. Forest Subordinate Service. The recruitment includes vacancies under the general quota as well as Meritorious Sportspersons (MSP) quota. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the APPSC official website from 28 July 2025 to 17 August 2025. The Screening Test will be conducted on 07 September 2025, followed by a Main Written Exam, Physical Tests, and Computer Proficiency Test. Applicants must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and meet physical eligibility standards. Selection will be based on written exam merit, physical tests, and bonus marks for NCC certificates.

APPSC Forest Section Officer (FSO)

1️⃣ Educational Qualification 
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any one of the following subjects:

• Botany / Forestry / Horticulture / Zoology / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Geology / Agriculture  OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Chemical)

The degree must be from a recognized University under Central/State/Provincial Act or UGC.

2️⃣ Age Limit  

•  Age : 18 years to 30 years
• As on Date: 01 July 2025

3️⃣ Physical Standards  

Male Candidates :

• Height: ≥163 cm
• Chest: ≥84 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

Female Candidates  :

• Height: ≥150 cm
• Chest: ≥79 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

 ST & Northeastern candidates को ऊँचाई में 5 सेमी की छूट दी जाएगी।

4️⃣ Walking Test  

• Male: 25 km walk in 4 hours
• Female: 16 km walk in 4 hours

 This is a qualifying test only, no marks will be awarded.

5️⃣ Vision & Medical Fitness  

Candidates must have normal eyesight, be medically fit, and free from any physical disability.

• Processing +  Exam Fee :  (₹250 + ₹80) =  ₹330/-
• SC, ST, BC, Ex-Servicemen, White Card Holders, Unemployed youth of AP :  Nil
• Others (incl. other states): ₹330

1. Notification No. 07/2025 was released by APPSC on 22 July 2025.
2. A total of 100 vacancies are announced, including 30 carried forward and 70 fresh vacancies.
3. 3% horizontal reservation is applicable for Meritorious Sportspersons (MSP).
4. No written test for MSP candidates – selection will be based on merit list provided by SAAP.
5. 33⅓% horizontal reservation is applicable for Women candidates.
6. No reservation for PwD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) under this recruitment.
7. Screening Test is scheduled for 07 September 2025 (offline OMR-based).
8. Candidates must qualify Walking Test and Medical Examination to appear in CPT.
9. NCC certificate holders will get bonus marks: C – 5, B – 3, A – 1.
10. Final selection will be made based on written exam marks + CPT + bonus marks, as per roster.
