Bihar Police Recruitment 2025 – Golden opportunity to get recruited for 4361 posts of Driver Constable

Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar has released Advt No. 02/2025 for the recruitment of 4361 Driver Constable posts in Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police. Eligible male and female candidates holding a valid driving license and 12th pass qualification can apply online from 21 July to 20 August 2025 through the official website csbc.bihar.gov.in.

1️⃣ Nationality  

•  The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2️⃣ Educational Qualification  

•  The candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board/institution.

3️⃣ Driving License Requirement  

•   A valid LMV/HMV driving license issued on or before 17-07-2024 (at least 1 year old from the date of notification).

4️⃣ Age Limit (As on 01-08-2025)   

5️⃣ Physical Standards  

Male Candidates 

Female Candidates 

• SC/ST/Female (Bihar Domicile): ₹180/-

• Others State: ₹675/-

 Stage 1: Written Examination (OMR Based)

• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Type: Objective (MCQ)
• Syllabus: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Traffic Rules, Motor Vehicle Act, Basic Math & Science
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General – 40%
  • BC – 36.5%
  • EBC – 34%
  • SC/ST/Female/Transgender – 32%

 Note: This exam is only qualifying in nature. Marks will not count in the final merit.

 Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) –

For Female Candidates | महिला उम्मीदवारों के लिए

Note / ध्यान दें:

• सभी इवेंट्स में अलग-अलग सफल होना अनिवार्य है।
• किसी भी इवेंट में असफल होने पर उम्मीदवार अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया जाएगा।
• कोई अंक नहीं दिए जाएंगे — यह परीक्षा केवल Qualifying है।

 Stage 3: Driving Skill Test

• Total Marks: 100
• Tests Include:
  • 8-shape driving (forward & reverse)
  • Reverse parking
  • Clutch/brake judgment
  • Following traffic rules

 Disqualification if vehicle stops, exits track, or violates rules. / गाड़ी रोकना या ट्रैक से बाहर जाना = अयोग्यता

 Stage 4: Document Verification

• Verification of age, education, driving license, reservation certificates, etc.

 Stage 5: Medical Examination

• Eye test, general fitness, psychological stability, and drug/alcohol assessment

 Final Merit List

• Based only on Driving Skill Test (100 Marks) and contractual experience bonus (if applicable)
• Written test & PET are qualifying only and will not affect merit ranking

🔹 1. Written & PET are Qualifying Only

• English: Written Exam and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) are qualifying in nature. Their marks will not be added to the final merit list.

🔹 2. Final Merit Based on Driving Test

• English: Final selection will be based only on Driving Test marks (100 marks) and applicable contractual experience bonus.

🔹 3. 35% Seats Reserved for Women

• English: 35% reservation is applicable for women candidates in each category.

🔹 4. 2% Horizontal Reservation for FFW Dependents

• English: 2% seats are horizontally reserved for dependents of Freedom Fighters (FFW).

🔹 5. Transgender Candidates Eligible

• English: Transgender candidates are eligible under BC category and will follow female physical standards.

🔹 6. Reservation Benefits Only for Bihar Domicile

• English: Reservation benefits will be given only to permanent residents of Bihar with valid certificates.

🔹 7. Contract Experience Bonus

• English: Contractual candidates already serving in Bihar Police may get bonus marks (max 25) based on years of service.

🔹 8. Physical Test Exemption for Pregnant Women

• English: Pregnant female candidates must submit a medical certificate and will not be allowed in PET.

🔹 9. Validity of Certificates

• English: All caste, domicile, EWS, non-creamy layer certificates must be valid up to the application last date (20-08-2025).

🔹 10. Preference to Naxal-Affected Districts

• English: Preference will be given to candidates from Naxal-affected districts as per state policy.

3️⃣  Click on “Apply Online”
You’ll be redirected to the application portal.

4️⃣ Register Yourself
Use a valid mobile number and email ID to register. An OTP will be sent for verification.

5️⃣ Fill the Online Application Form
Enter all details accurately – personal info, education, category, license number, etc.

6️⃣ Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of:

• Passport-size photo
• Signature
• Driving License
• Category certificate (if applicable)

7️⃣ Pay the Application Fee
Pay online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

8️⃣ Submit the Application
After verifying all details, submit the form.

9️⃣ Print the Confirmation Page
Download or print the final application form and payment receipt for future reference.
