IB Security Assistant/Executive Recruitment Apply Online 2025 – for 4987 Vacancies

The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has released a notification for the recruitment of Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) posts. Eligible candidates, including Ex-Servicemen, can apply online between July 26 and August 17, 2025, 23:59hrs via the official MHA or NCS portal. The selection involves a three-tier process: an objective written exam, a descriptive translation test, and a final interview.

SECURITY ASSISTANT/EXECUTIVE EXAMINATION-2025

• Pay Scale:  ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 (Level-3) + 20% Special Security Allowance

• Post Name: IB   SECURITY ASSISTANT/EXECUTIVE

• Pay Scale: Level-3(₹ 21700-69100) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances. + 20%

• Qualification: Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education

• Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 17.08.2025.

• Age Relaxation: 

• General/OBC/EWS Male:  ₹650/-

• Female/SC/ST/ESM:  ₹550/-

🔹Phase-1 :  100 Marks / Duration Time 1 Hours

• Online Exam of Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each on:

 a) General Awareness

 b)Quantitative Aptitude 

c)Numerical/Analytical/Logical ability and Reasoning

 d)English Language and e)General Studies

 [Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.]

🔹Phase-2 :  50 Marks / Duration Time 1 Hours 

• Written Exam (Descriptive type)

 a) Translation of a passage of 500 words from opted language/dialect to English and vice versa.

• Interview/Personality test

🔹Final Merit:

• Based on Tier-I + Tier-III only

• Tier-II is qualifying

• Waiting list will be prepared

1. All India Transfer Liability

• Selected candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in India under All India transfer policy.

 2. Vacancies are Subject to Change

• The total number of vacancies (4987) is provisional and may change based on organizational needs.

 3. Reservation Policy

• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM is applicable as per Government of India rules.

• OBC candidates must be non-creamy layer and listed in the central list.

 4. Not Suitable for PwBD

• This post is not identified for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD); hence, such candidates should not apply.

 5. Domicile Requirement

• The applicant must have a domicile certificate of the SIB (state/region) they are applying for.

 6. Local Language Proficiency

• Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak at least one local language/dialect specified for the chosen SIB.

 7. Educational Qualification Must Be Acquired Before Last Date

• Class 10th qualification must be obtained on or before 17.08.2025.

 8. Ex-Servicemen Conditions

• ESM who are already employed in civil services on regular basis after availing reservation are not eligible for fee concession/reservation benefits again.

 9. Cut-off Marks Policy

• Tier-I has minimum cut-off marks category-wise.

• Tier-II is qualifying only, but must be cleared to move to Tier-III.

 10. Final Merit Preparation

• Final merit is based on Tier-I + Tier-III performance only.

• Tier-II is mandatory but does not contribute to merit.

 11. Appointment is Initially Temporary

• Selection is provisional and temporary.

• Permanent appointment depends on verification and satisfactory performance.

 12. Admit Card & Exam Info via Email

• All communication including exam date, venue, admit card etc. will be sent via registered email ID.

 Step 2: Registration (Step-I)

• Click on “I Agree” and proceed to register.

• Fill in basic personal and contact details (Name, Email, Mobile Number).

• A Login ID & Password will be sent to your registered email.

 Step 3: Login & Fill Application (Step-II)

• Login using the received credentials.

• Complete personal details, educational qualification, address, category, etc.

• Upload:

  • Passport size photograph (100–200 KB, JPG/JPEG)

  • Signature (80–150 KB, JPG/JPEG)

 Step 4: Pay Application Fee

• Mode: Online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI) or Offline (SBI Challan)

• Fees:

  • General/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹650/-

  • SC/ST/Female/ESM: ₹550/-

• Challan payment allowed till 19.08.2025

 Step 5: Preview & Submit Form

• Double-check all entries (especially name, email, photo & signature)

• Submit the form

• Take a printout of the final application and fee receipt for future use.

• Apply between 26.07.2025 to 17.08.2025 (11:59 PM) only.

• Only one application per candidate is allowed.
