RRB Technician CEN 02/2025 Date Extend & apply

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the detailed notification CEN 02/2025 for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III in various departments. A total of 6238 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Check eligibility, application process, important dates, and apply online now.

• Technician Grade-I Signal:
  Qualification: B.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science or Diploma in Engineering
  Pay Level in 7th CPC: level 5
  Initial Pay (Rs.): 29200
  Medical Standard:  B-1
  Age Limit: 18–33 years
  age relaxation:

  OBC -3 years
  Railway Staff Group C & D : (40-45) years of age
• Technician Grade-III: 
  Qualification: Matric/SSLC+ITI / Act Apprentice in relevant trades
  Pay Level in 7th CPC: level 2
  Initial Pay (Rs.): 19900 
  Medical Standard:  post wise parameter (A-3, B-1, C-1)
  Age Limit: 18–30 years
  Age Relaxation:
  SC / ST: 5 years
  OBC: 3 years
  Railway Staff Group C & D : (40-45) years of age
  
   

• General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT)

• SC/ST/PwBD/Female/EWS: ₹250 (fully refunded after CBT)

  Note:  Candidates can deposit the exam fee through online payment mode

• Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Single stage CBT for each pay level (Level-2 & Level-5)

• Objective type with multiple choice questions

• Sections: Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Science, and Technical Subjects

• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer

• Marks will be normalized if conducted in multiple shifts

• Shortlisting for Document Verification (DV)

  • Based on performance in CBT

  • Candidates shortlisted in 1:1 ratio (number of vacancies = number of shortlisted candidates)

• Document Verification (DV)

  • Original documents checked for eligibility:

    • Educational/Technical qualification

    • Caste/Category certificate (if applicable)

    • Age proof, etc.

  • If documents are invalid or fake, candidature will be cancelled

• Medical Examination

  • Conducted by Railway Medical Board

  • Candidates must be physically and medically fit for the post

  • Medical standards: A3, B1, B2, or C1 depending on the post (as per Indian Railway Medical Manual)

• Final Empanelment

  • Final merit list prepared after DV and Medical Test

  • Appointment letter issued by respective Zonal Railway

🔹 General Instructions:

1. Eligibility Check
   Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions — age, qualification, medical standards — before applying.

2. Final Year Students Not Eligible
   Candidates awaiting final results of educational/technical qualifications are not eligible.

3. One Application Rule
   Only one application per pay level is allowed. Multiple applications will be rejected, and the candidate will be debarred permanently from future RRB exams.

4. Disqualified Candidates
   Candidates already debarred by any RRB/RRC should not apply; their applications will be rejected at any stage.

5. Details Must Match 10th Certificate
   Name, father's name, DOB should match exactly with 10th/Matriculation certificate. Name change must be supported with legal proof.

6. Uniform Signature
   Signatures must be consistent throughout all documents and application stages.

7. Live Photo Requirement
   Upload only live passport-size photographs as per specifications. Blurry or static images will lead to rejection.

8. Call Letter is Not Confirmation
   Getting an admit card does not confirm selection. Final selection depends on eligibility, documents, and medical tests.

9. RRB Has Recommendation Role Only
   Final appointment and posting will be handled by respective Zonal Railways, not by the RRB.

10. Training & Bond
    Selected candidates may have to undergo training and sign service bonds as per post requirement.

🔸 Important Instructions:

1. Apply Online Only
   Applications must be submitted through RRB’s official website. Offline applications will be rejected.

2. Aadhaar Verification Recommended
   Aadhaar-based identity verification during registration is highly recommended to avoid delays.

3. No Change in RRB & Mobile Number
   Once registered, RRB choice, email ID, and mobile number cannot be changed.

4. Free Travel for SC/ST
   SC/ST candidates can avail free sleeper class railway travel during exam stages, on producing caste certificate.

5. Exam Center Once Allotted is Final
   Exam date, time, and center cannot be changed once issued.

6. Invalid Applications Will Be Rejected
   Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected without refund.

7. Ban on Electronic Items
   No mobile phones, watches, calculators, or books allowed inside exam center. Pen will be provided there.

1. Please read the information given in the CEN thoroughly before filling up the ONLINE application.

2.  Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational /technical qualifications are NOT eligible to apply.

3. Candidates must have their own active mobile number and a valid personal Email ID for all communication during the entire duration of recruitment, as all communication with them will only be through SMS and/or email.

4. Candidates are advised, in their own interest, to authenticate their identity using Digilocker or Aadhaar during the " Create an Account " stage. If they missed this stage, they can still authenticate during the online application details filling process by using the “Verify Aadhaar" facility and providing their Aadhaar details.

1. Visit Official RRB Website

   • Go to any official RRB site ( rrbahmedabad.gov.in)

   • Only apply to one RRB per pay level.

2. Create an Account

   • Click “Create Account”

   • Enter Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Email, Mobile Number

   • Aadhaar authentication is highly recommended

   • Once created, account info (email/mobile) cannot be changed

3. Login and Choose Notification

   • Login with registered email and password

   • Select CEN 02/2025 for Technician Categories

4. Fill Application Form

   • Enter personal details, educational qualifications

   • Choose Railway zone preferences and post

   • Mention category/reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/etc.)

5. Upload Documents

   • Recent live photograph  

   • Signature (30-49kb jpg/jpeg)

   • Caste/EWS/PwBD certificates (if applicable)

   • Income Certificate or EBC proof (if claiming fee concession) >400kb

   • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar preferred)

6. Preview and Confirm

   • Review all entries carefully

   • Once submitted, details cannot be changed (except through modification window)

7. Pay Application Fee

   • ₹500 for General/OBC (₹400 refunded after CBT)

   • ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Minority/EBC (fully refunded after CBT)

   • Payment via UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards only

8. Submit Form and Print

   • Submit the form before the deadline (28 July 2025, 11:59 PM)

   • Take printout of the form and fee receipt
