Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have successfully completed a Bachelor’s course in any field from an accredited university.
Preference may be given to candidates with postgraduate degrees, MBA, or professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or CFA.
Proficiency in computer operations is desirable.
2. Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience in banking, finance, or credit operations in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Financial Institution.
Experience must be full-time and verifiable via official documents.
Candidates working in credit-related departments or zonal offices will be given preference.
3. Age Limit (As on 01/06/2025)
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 35 years
4. Language Proficiency
Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak the regional language of the zone for which they are applying.
In some zones, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is conducted to ensure this.

SC, ST, PWD : ₹150/-
Note:
Candidates can deposit the exam fee through bank challan or online payment mode
Selection Process
1. Online Written Examination
Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Duration: 90 minutes to 120 minutes (as per official pattern)
Subjects may include:
Banking Awareness / General Awareness
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability
English Language
Professional Knowledge (related to finance, credit, banking policies)
Negative Marking: Yes (usually 0.25 mark per wrong answer)
Qualifying Marks: As per category-wise and zone-wise cut-off
✅ Only shortlisted candidates from the written test are called for interview.
2. Personal Interview
Mode: Face-to-face or video-based interview
Weightage: 100 marks (subject to change by bank)
Panel: Senior officials from Central Bank
Assessment Criteria:
Communication skills
Knowledge of banking sector and financial policies
Awareness of local economy and zone-specific requirements
Leadership & decision-making skills
✅ Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
3. Document Verification
Conducted for candidates who clear the interview round
Candidates must present:
Educational certificates (10th, 12th, graduation)
ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN)
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if zone reservation is applicable)
Experience certificate (if required)
❌ Failure to provide correct and valid documents may lead to cancellation.
4. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – If Applicable
Mandatory for zones requiring local language proficiency
Test Format:
Reading, writing & comprehension in the local language
Short essay or dictation

Final Result Declared:
The Central Bank of India has officially declared the Final Result for Zone Based Officer (ZBO) recruitment 2025 on 09 July 2025.Total Candidates Selected:
A total of 215 candidates have been selected for appointment as ZBOs across various zones.Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
Out of the selected candidates, 43 candidates are required to undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) as they do not belong to the local linguistic background of the zone allotted.Zone-Wise Selection:
The selection list is divided zone-wise, meaning each candidate has been allotted a specific zone like Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chennai, etc.Merit List Basis:
The final result is based on combined performance in written exam and personal interview.LPT is Mandatory Where Applicable:
For zones with language requirements, passing the LPT is mandatory. Failure to qualify may lead to disqualification.No Waiting List:

After submission, you will receive a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
This will also be sent to your registered email and mobile number.

🔹 Step 4: Upload Photograph and Signature
Upload your scanned photo and signature as per the required specifications.
Ensure that the size and format are as per the guidelines provided in the advertisement.
🔹 Step 5: Fill Out the Complete Form
Provide your personal details, educational qualifications, and other relevant information.
Enter all information correctly – no changes are allowed after final submission.
🔹 Step 6: Use “SAVE AND NEXT”
After each section, click on “SAVE AND NEXT” to proceed to the next step.
This helps you save your data and allows you to review and edit if needed.
🔹 Step 7: Pay the Application Fee
Application fee must be paid through online mode only:

On successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated.
