A total of 29 posts under SSC Tech-66 course are for unmarried women engineers.
There are 2 special posts for widow candidates – one technical and one non-technical.
A total of 31 posts will be recruited.

Eligibility Criteria

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (TECH) WOMEN COURSE (APR 2026)

Category	Eligibility Details
Nationality	Candidate must be an Indian citizen, subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit	SSCW(Tech): 20 to 27 years (Born between 02 April 1999 and 01 April 2006) Widows (Tech/Non-Tech): Up to 35 years as on 01 April 2026
Educational Qualification	SSCW(Tech): B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant engineering stream (final year students eligible) Widows (Tech): B.E./B.Tech degree Widows (Non-Tech): Graduation in any discipline
Marital Status	Only unmarried women and widows of defence personnel who have not remarried are eligible.
Physical Standards	Minimum height: 152 cm Weight: Proportionate to height Candidate must be medically fit as per Army norms.

Selection Process

Shortlisting of Applications
➤ Applications are shortlisted by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) based on final year aggregate marks or pre-final year if final result is pending.
➤ No written exam is conducted.
SSB Interview
➤ Shortlisted candidates are called for SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview at:
- Allahabad (UP) / Bhopal (MP) / Bangalore (Karnataka) / Kapurthala (Punjab)
  ➤ SSB consists of:
- Stage I: Screening (Day 1 – OIR Test + PPDT)
- Stage II: Psychology Test, GTO Tasks, Personal Interview, Conference
Medical Examination
➤ Candidates declared medically fit will proceed to final merit.
Final Merit List
➤ Final selection is made based on SSB performance + Medical Fitness + available vacancies in respective engineering streams.

Important facts to know before applying online form

Course Commencement
➤ The training for SSCW(Tech)-66 will commence in April 2026 at OTA, Chennai.
Type of Commission
➤ Candidates will be granted Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.
Training Duration
➤ The duration of training is 49 weeks.
No Written Exam
➤ There is no written examination. Shortlisting is based on merit (marks in graduation).
Final Year Students Eligible
➤ Final-year engineering students can apply, but degree must be submitted by 01 April 2026.
No Application Fee
➤ No fee is required for any category of applicants.
Women-Only Entry
➤ This entry is exclusively for unmarried women and widows of defence personnel.
Penalty for Leaving Training
➤ If a candidate withdraws from training without valid reason, they are liable to pay ₹16,260 per week as penalty.
