APPSC Forest Beat Officer Recruitment – Apply Today, Last Chance!

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released an official notification inviting online applications for a total of 691 vacancies for the posts of Forest Beat Officer and Assistant Beat Officer under the A.P. Forest Subordinate Service. The application process began on 16th July 2025 and will conclude today, 5th August 2025. Eligible candidates are advised to apply immediately through the official website psc.ap.gov.in before the deadline expires.

ANDHRA PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION::VIJAYAWADA

1. Educational Qualification  
  ● Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination (Class 12th) or its equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution as on the date of notification.

  ● Age Limit: 18 – 30 years as on 01/07/2025

 2. Physical Standards  

👉 For Male Candidates :

• Minimum Height: 163 cm
• Chest: Minimum 84 cm (normal) with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

👉 For Female Candidates  :

• Minimum Height: 150 cm
• Chest: Minimum 79 cm (normal) with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

  Relaxations :

• English: Height relaxable by 5 cm for candidates belonging to Gurkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, NAFA, Naga, Manipur, Gorkhas, Bhutanese, Sikkimese, and Scheduled Tribes.

 3. Vision Standards 

• English: Candidates must have normal eyesight.

 4. Physical Endurance Test  

• Male Candidates: Must walk 25 kilometers in 4 hours
• Female Candidates: Must walk 16 kilometers in 4 hours

 5. Bonus Marks for NCC Candidates

• Processing Fee: ₹250/-
• Exam Fee: ₹80/-
• Fee Exemption for: SC/ST/BC/Ex-Servicemen/White Card holders/Unemployed youth (only AP residents)

ASSISTANT BEAT OFFICER IN A.P. FOREST SUBORDINATE SERVICE 

Step 1: Screening Test  
An objective-type Screening Test (Preliminary Exam) will be conducted offline (OMR-based) only if the number of applicants exceeds 200 times the number of vacancies.

Step 2: Main Written Examination  
All qualified candidates from the screening test will appear for the Main Examination, which is also objective-type and offline. This exam is mandatory for all.

 Step 3: Physical Endurance Test  

• Male: 25 km walk in 4 hours
• Female: 16 km walk in 4 hours

This is a qualifying test only and carries no marks.

 Step 4: Medical Examination  
Qualified candidates must undergo a medical test by the Medical Board at Rajamahendravaram and be declared physically fit for outdoor duties.

 Step 5: Computer Proficiency Test – CPT  
Candidates who qualify in the Physical & Medical Tests will appear for CPT. Qualifying CPT is mandatory for final selection.

 Step 6: Final Selection  
Final selection will be based on:

• Marks obtained in the Main Written Exam
• Bonus marks (if applicable) for NCC certificate holders
• Fulfilling physical & medical fitness
• Roster points (Reservation system)

10. No Exam for MSP Quota: Selection will be merit-based as per Sports Authority's approved list
11. CPT Mandatory: No candidate will be appointed without qualifying CPT
12. Final Selection: Based on Main Exam + bonus marks + fitness & reservation norms

• Click on “One Time Profile Registration (OTPR)”
• Fill your personal details and create a user ID
• A confirmation will be sent to your mobile and email

 Step 2: Login

• Go back to the homepage
• Login using your OTPR ID and password

 Step 3: Fill the Application Form

• Click on “Online Application Submission”
• Select Notification No.06/2025
• Fill in local/non-local status, category, qualification, exam center, etc.
• Review all details carefully

 Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

• Pay ₹250 (processing) + ₹80 (exam fee) via debit/credit card or net banking
• Fee exemptions apply for eligible categories

 Step 5: Submit the Application

• Click on “Save & Submit” to complete the form
• Download the filled application form for reference

 Step 6: Correction Window

• Corrections can be made for 7 days after the last date
• ₹100 will be charged per correction (name, age, fee fields not editable)
