BSF Constable GD Sports Quota notification (CT_07/2025)

Educational Qualification : Candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th class) from a recognized Board.

Sports Qualification : The candidate must have represented or won medals in recognized sports competitions at one of the following levels between 01/09/2021 to 28/08/2023

• International Sports Competitions
• National Championships
• All India Inter-University Tournaments
• National School Games
• Federation Cup Tournaments

Age Limit /  (as on 01 August 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Other categories as per government norms

 Height: 

•  Male: 170 cms / Female: 157 cms
• Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in the heights mentioned above. Relaxed standards of height for such candidates are as follow:

• General/OBC/Women : ₹147.20-/

• SC/ST/Femail :  ₹0-/

CONSTABLE (GENERAL DUTY) UNDER SPORTS QUOTA -2025 IN BORDER SECURITY FORCE

1. Document Verification 
Initially, all applicants will undergo document verification to confirm their eligibility — such as educational qualifications, age, and sports achievements.

2. Physical Standard Test (PST) 

Candidates who clear document verification will undergo PST where their height, chest (for male), and weight will be measured as per BSF norms.

3. Sports Trial 
Eligible candidates will undergo sports trial/performance test to assess their skills in the applied sport. Performance will be evaluated by a selection committee.

4. Medical Examination 
Those who qualify in the sports trial will undergo a detailed medical examination as per BSF medical standards.

 Eye Sight- The minimum distance vision shall be 6/6 & 6/9 for both eyes without

 Final Selection  
Final merit will be prepared based on performance in sports trials and qualifying medical standards. No written exam will be conducted.

• There will be no written exam; selection will be based only on sports performance, PST and medical
• If there are more than one award, the highest medal or performance certificate will be considered
• It is mandatory to show original documents during admission, absence of which can lead to rejection of application
• The final authority of selection will be with BSF recruitment

a) Tattoo Country being a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus, tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.
b) Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites or the body like inner
aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.
c) Size must be less than 4 of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of
the body.

🔹 Step 4: Upload Documents

• Photo (JPG, under 100KB)
• Signature (JPG)
• 10th Marksheet, Sports Certificates (PDF)

🔹 Step 5: Pay Application Fee

• Gen/OBC/EWS: ₹100
• SC/ST/Female: ₹0
• Pay via Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking
