OICL AO Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 300 Posts

Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has released the notification for recruitment of 300 Administrative Officers (Generalist & Hindi Officer) for 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online within the given dates.

Total Vacancies: 300 Posts (285 Generalist + 15 Hindi/Rajbhasha Officer)

1. Educational Qualification

Generalist AO

• Graduation or Post-Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).

Hindi (Rajbhasha) AO

Master’s Degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in ANY of the following combinations:

• Hindi with English as compulsory/elective subject
• English with Hindi as compulsory/elective subject
• Any subject with Hindi medium + English as compulsory/elective
• Any subject with English medium + Hindi as compulsory/elective
• Any subject with both Hindi & English as compulsory/elective subjects

2. Age Limit (as on 30.11.2025) 

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• Candidate must be born between 01 Dec 1995 to 30 Nov 2004 (both inclusive).

3. Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-Serviceman: 5 years
• Widows/Divorced Women: 9 years
• Existing Confirmed Employees of Public Sector Insurance Companies: 8 years

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹1000/- (including GST)
• SC / ST / PwBD: ₹250/- (intimation charges only)

 Phase I – Preliminary Examination

• Objective test of 100 marks
• Duration: 1 hour
• Sections: English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude
• Candidates qualifying prelims move to mains.

Phase II – Main Examination

Different pattern for Generalist and Hindi Officers

Generalist AO:

• Objective Test: 200 marks (150 minutes)
• Descriptive Test: 30 marks (English essay & précis – qualifying)

Hindi AO:

• Objective Test: 200 marks
• Descriptive Test: 50 marks (English & Hindi essays, translation & letter-writing)

Phase III – Interview

• Candidates 3 times the vacancy will be called
• Final merit based on Mains (80%) + Interview (20%)
