Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 05/2025 for 1180 Assistant Teacher (Primary) posts. Eligibility Criteria

DSSSB Advt 05/2025 Notification

Educational Qualification:

Candidate must have any one of the following:

  1. Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
  2. 12th with 45% marks + 2-year Diploma (as per NCTE 2002 norms)
  3. 12th with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
  4. 12th + 2-year Diploma in Special Education
  5. Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Other Requirements:

  • Must have passed CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test – Paper I).
  • Must have studied Hindi / Urdu / Punjabi / English as a subject at Secondary level.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 30 years
  • Age relaxation as per Delhi Govt. rules (OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwBD – 10 years, etc.).

  • General, OBC, EWS : ₹100/-
  • SC / ST / Female / PwBD : ₹0/-
Selection Process

Delhi Primary Teacher Vacancy 2025

  1. Written Examination (One Tier – Technical):
    • Objective type MCQs.
    • Covers General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi & English Language, Teaching Methodology.
    • Each question carries equal marks, negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
  2. Merit List Preparation:
    • Based on written exam marks only (no interview).
    • Category-wise cut-off released by DSSSB.
  3. Document Verification:
    • Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents, certificates, and CTET qualification proof.
  4. Final Selection:
    • On the basis of marks + document verification, subject to medical fitness and eligibility.
