Central Railway has released Apprentice Recruitment 2025 for 2418 slots across various trades. Eligible candidates with Matric & ITI can apply online from 12 Aug to 11 Sep 2025. Selection will be merit-based. Apply now at rrccr.com before the last date to secure your apprenticeship opportunity.

RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL Notification No. RRC/CR/AA/2025

Apprentices will be engaged in different trades under Central Railway Clusters. The trade-wise and cluster-wise vacancies are as follows:

🔸 Mumbai Cluster

  • Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Painter (General), Tailor (General), Electrician, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Turner, Instrument Mechanic, Laboratory Assistant, Electronics Mechanic, Sheet Metal Worker, COPA, etc.

🔸 Bhusawal Cluster

  • Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Programming & System Administration Assistant, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic Diesel, etc.

🔸 Pune Cluster

  • Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Painter, Carpenter, Mechanic Diesel.

🔸 Nagpur Cluster

  • Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Welder, COPA.

🔸 Solapur Cluster

  • Fitter, Carpenter, Machinist, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, Painter.

👉 Total Slots Across Clusters: 2418

Eligibility Criteria

Central Railway Apprentice 2025

Age Limit (as on 12.08.2025)

  •  Age: 15 Years To  24 Years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: +5 Years /OBC: +3 Years / PwBD: +10 Years
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. rules (Service period + 3 years)

 Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed 10th Class / Matriculation (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
  • Must also possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT / SCVT.
  • Note: Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are NOT eligible for this apprentice recruitment.

 Other Requirements

  • Candidate should have Aadhaar Card (or Voter ID/Passport/Driving License for J&K, Meghalaya, Assam).
  • Candidate should be medically fit as per Railway standards.

  • General / OBC: ₹100/-
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Women: ₹0/- (No Fee)
  • Mode: Online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI) 
Selection Process

Central Railway Apprentice 2025

  1. Merit List Preparation
    • Based on the average percentage of marks obtained in 10th Class (minimum 50%) + ITI Trade.
    • Example: If a candidate scored 60% in 10th and 70% in ITI, then the average = 65%.
  2. Tie-Breaking Rule
    • If two candidates have the same percentage:
      • Candidate with older age will be preferred.
      • If age is also the same, then the one who passed matriculation earlier will be given preference.
  3. Document Verification (DV)
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
  4. Medical Fitness Test
    • Candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a government-authorized doctor.

👉 Final selection will be done cluster/unit-wise and trade-wise as per vacancy slots.

How to Apply online form

Candidates can apply online only for Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025. Applications submitted in offline/physical mode will not be accepted.

  1. Visit Official Website – Go to www.rrccr.com.
  2. Registration – Click on “Apprentice Recruitment 2025” link and complete the registration using Aadhaar number / valid ID.
  3. Fill Application Form – Enter personal details, educational qualification, and trade preference carefully.
  4. Upload Documents – Upload scanned copies of:
    • Passport size photo (20–70 kb).
    • Signature (20–30 kb)
    • 10th Marksheet & ITI Certificate
    • Caste/Disability/Ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable)
  5. Pay Application Fee – Pay ₹100/- (except SC/ST/PwBD/Women) via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI.
  6. Submit Form – After successful fee payment, submit the form and download the confirmation page.
  7. Print Application Form – Take a printout and keep it safe for document verification.

👉 Candidates should apply before 11th September 2025 (5:00 PM) to avoid last-minute issues.
