Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum qualification is generally 10th pass (SSLC) or 12th pass depending on the post.
  • Candidates must have completed the prescribed academic qualification through Tamil medium education to avail special Tamil medium reservation.

Age Limit (As on 01/07/2025)

  • General (OC): 18 to 26 years (Born between 02/07/1999 and 01/07/2007)
  • Backward Class (BC), Backward Class Muslim (BCM), Most Backward Class / Denotified Communities (MBC/DNC): 18 to 28 years (Born between 02/07/1997 and 01/07/2007)
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar (SC(A)), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 18 to 31 years (Born between 02/07/1994 and 01/07/2007)
  • Women: Same as SC/ST, 18 to 31 years
  • Destitute Widow: Up to 37 years
  • Ex-servicemen: Up to 47 years

Physical Standards (Varies by Category)

  • Height and chest measurements vary as per communal/religious categories; for example:
    • OC/BC/MBC male candidates: Minimum 170 cm height, chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion
    • SC/ST and others have relaxed standards. Minimum 167 cm height, chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion
  • Women candidates have category-appropriate standards as well.
  • Minimum 154 cm height, chest  note requried

Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying)

  • Tasks like running 100m and 400m, long jump, and shot put are to be completed within prescribed time/distance norms as per gender and category.

Medical Fitness

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit and free from any disabilities.
  • No knock knees, bow legs, flat feet, or any morbid conditions affecting vision or hearing.

Selection Process
