POST OF AGRICULTURE OFFICER IN A.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICE

• Age: 18–42 years as on 01/07/2025; Category relaxations as per rules (SC/ST/BC/EWS/PWD: 5-10 years, Ex-Servicemen/NCC/State Employees: as per guidelines)
• Qualification: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from State Agriculture University or any ICAR-accredited university.
• Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen
• Other: Must be of sound health, good character, certificate verification mandatory

• Application Processing Fee: ₹250/-
• Examination Fee: ₹120/-
• Total Fee (General/OC/Other States): ₹370/-
• Exempted from Examination Fee (₹120/-):
  • SC, ST, BC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBDs), Ex-Servicemen (AP Residents)
  • Families possessing white ration card (AP Residents)
  • Unemployed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439 (AP Residents; declaration to be submitted at verification)
• Note:
  • Applicants from the above exempt categories (except PBDs/Ex-Servicemen) belonging to other states are not eligible for exemption.
  • All candidates (including exempt categories) must pay the ₹250/- processing fee.
  • Application corrections (after submission) are charged at ₹100/- per correction (name, fee, and age relaxation fields cannot be edited).

• Written Examination (Objective Type, Offline OMR Based):
  • Compulsory to appear in all papers.
  • Consists of two papers:
    • Paper-I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 Questions, 150 Marks, 150 Minutes)
    • Paper-II: Agriculture (150 Questions, 300 Marks, 150 Minutes)
  • Negative marking: For each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks for the question will be deducted.
• Shortlisting:
  • Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage based on merit in the written examination.
• Computer Proficiency Test (CPT):
  • Only those shortlisted from the written exam will appear.
  • This is qualifying in nature (minimum marks: OC-40, BC-35, SC/ST/PBD-30 out of 100).
  • Candidates must qualify CPT for appointment.
• Merit & Reservation:
  • Final selection is based on merit from the written exam (subject to CPT qualification), following all reservation rules for category, women, PBD, etc.
• Medical Fitness:
  • Appointment is subject to being found medically fit.
• Verification:
  • Certificates and eligibility checked as per notification; failure to produce required original documents leads to rejection.
• Tie Cases:
  • If two or more candidates secure equal marks, older age gets preference. If age is also the same, the candidate who acquired the required qualification earlier will be placed higher.

1. OTPR Registration:
   • If you are applying for the first time, register One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) at psc.ap.gov.in.
   • After submitting your bio-data, a User ID will be generated and sent to your mobile and email.
   • Note: OTPR registration alone is not an application for any post.
2. Log in to APPSC Website:
   • Use your OTPR User ID and password to log into the Commission’s website.
3. Application Submission:
   • Click on “Online Application Submission.”
   • Select the relevant notification number (09/2025 – Agriculture Officer) and click “Fill Application.”
4. Filling Application:
   • Carefully enter all required details (local/non-local status, category, qualification, exam center preferences, etc.).
   • Verify all details before proceeding.
   • If you need to edit your OTPR details, do so before filling the application.
5. Photograph & Signature Upload:
   • Upload your scanned recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPG format.
6. Save & Submit:
   • Click “Save” to save data temporarily in case of power/service interruptions (application not submitted yet).
   • Only after clicking “Save & Submit” will you proceed to the payment gateway.
7. Fee Payment:
   • Pay the application processing fee (₹250) and examination fee (₹120), unless exempted.
   • Payment must be made online via net banking/credit card/debit card.
   • After successful payment, a payment reference ID is generated. An SMS alert is sent to your registered mobile.
8. Application PDF:
   • Download and save a copy of your completed application form for future reference.
9. Corrections:
   • After the application deadline, corrections are allowed (except for Name, Fee, and Age Relaxation fields) for 7 days; ₹100 charged per correction.
10. Final Tips:
    • Ensure all details are accurate and complete—your submitted data is final for this recruitment.
    • Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
