Eligibility & Qualification

1. Technical Assistant (Mechanical / Electronics)

Education: First Class Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering (3 years) from a recognized institution.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 26.08.2025 (Age relaxation as per Govt. rules).

2. Sub Officer

Education & Experience:
- Leading Fireman/DCO with 6 years experience and Sub-Officer’s Certificate OR
- B.Sc with PCM + Sub Officer’s Certificate + Minimum 2 years experience as Leading Fireman after Sub-Officer Course
Additional Requirements: Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence & must meet Physical Fitness & PET Standards.

3. Technician-B (Turner / Fitter / Refrigeration & AC Mechanic)

4. Heavy Vehicle Driver-A

Education: SSLC/SSC/Matric pass
Experience: 5 years driving experience, out of which minimum 3 years as HVD and remaining LMV.
Additional Requirement: Valid HVD Licence & Public Service Badge (if statutory).

5. Light Vehicle Driver-A

Selection Process

For Post No. 792, 793, 795, 796 & 797

Written Test
- Duration: 90 minutes / 80 Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each)
- Negative Marking: 0.33 marks for each wrong answer
- Syllabus based on relevant discipline curriculum
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS: 32/80 | Reserved: 24/80
Skill Test
- Shortlisting in 1:5 ratio (min. 10 candidates) based on Written Test performance
- Go-No-Go basis (qualifying nature)
- Marks of skill test not considered for final merit
Final Selection
- Based on Written Test marks (tie-breaker: academic marks of required qualification)

Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) Certificate submission
Written Test – 100 MCQs (120 minutes)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Stage-1 & Stage-2 (Go-No-Go basis)
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) – Only one chance
Final Selection – Based on Written Test marks among candidates qualified in DME

Note: Written Test & Skill Test will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) only.
