UPSC ADMIT CARD CAPF (ACs) EXAMINATION – 2025
The admit card for CAPF (ACs) Exam 2025 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates who had successfully applied can now download their e-admit card from the official website of the commission https://upsconline.gov.in. This exam will be held on 03 August 2025, for recruitment to Assistant Commandant posts in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB. The admit card contains the name of the candidate, roll number, exam center, reporting time and other important instructions. It is mandatory to bring a print copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity card to the examination center.
Step 1: Participating Forces
UPSC will recruit Assistant Commandants (Group-A) in the following Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs):
- BSF – Border Security Force
- CRPF – Central Reserve Police Force
- CISF – Central Industrial Security Force
- ITBP – Indo-Tibetan Border Police
- SSB – Sashastra Seema Bal

Step 3: Reservation
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS: As per Central Govt norms
- Ex-Servicemen: 10% of total vacancies reserved
- If Ex-Servicemen posts remain unfilled, they will be added to the general pool.

2️⃣ Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university or equivalent.
Note:
- Final year students can apply, but must produce proof of passing before Physical Test/Interview.
- Professional and technical degrees recognized by Govt. are acceptable.

4️⃣ Medical Standards
- Must meet visual and general health conditions (as per Appendix-V of notification)
- Includes eyesight, hearing, mental stability, blood pressure, etc.
5️⃣ Desirable Qualification
- NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate holders will get preference at Interview stage.
6️⃣ Number of Attempts
- No limit mentioned, but subject to age criteria.
- GEN / OBC / EWS: ₹200/-
- Femail / SC / ST : ₹0/-
🔹 Stage 1: Written Examination
- Paper I – General Ability & Intelligence
- Type: Objective (MCQs)
- Marks: 250
- Language: English & Hindi
- Time: 2 hours (10 AM – 12 Noon)
- Negative Marking: Yes (1/3 marks deduction for wrong answers)
- Paper II – General Studies, Essay & Comprehension
- Type: Descriptive
- Marks: 200
- Time: 3 hours (2 PM – 5 PM)
- Essay: English or Hindi
- Comprehension/Precis: English only
Note: Paper II will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Paper I (minimum cutoff decided by UPSC).
🔹 Stage 2: Physical Standards & Efficiency Test (PST/PET)
Conducted for candidates who qualify the written exam.

🔹 Stage 3: Medical Standards Test
- Conducted for candidates qualifying PET/PST
- Includes vision test, hearing, physical health, mental stability, blood pressure, etc.
- Female candidates found pregnant at PST/PET stage will be declared temporarily unfit.
🔹 Stage 4: Interview / Personality Test
- Conducted by UPSC for candidates found medically fit.
- Marks: 150
- Personality, communication, awareness & decision-making abilities are tested.

4️⃣ Click “Yes” after reading the important instructions provided on the screen.
5️⃣ Choose login method:
- By Registration ID or
- By Roll Number
6️⃣ Enter your details:
- Registration ID / Roll No.
- Date of Birth
- Captcha code shown on screen
7️⃣ Submit and View Admit Card
8️⃣ Download and Print the e-Admit Card.
You must carry this printout to the exam center along with a valid Photo ID.

🔹 Key Instructions & Must-Know Points
- No Entry After Gate Closure:
Entry to the exam venue will close 30 minutes before the exam — i.e., by 9:30 AM for Paper-I and 1:30 PM for Paper-II. - Identity Verification is Mandatory:
Candidates must carry the same Photo ID mentioned in their e-Admit Card. Discrepancy may lead to disqualification. - e-Admit Card Is Mandatory:
Print your admit card and preserve it until the final result is declared. - Items Allowed:
Only e-Admit Card, Black Ball Pen, Photo ID, Passport-size photos (if needed), and a transparent water bottle are allowed. - Banned Items:
Mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, books, bags, and any kind of paper are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. - Negative Marking:
There is a penalty for incorrect answers in Paper I — 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer. - Paper II Guidelines:
- Essay writing medium must be the same as selected during application.
- Comprehension and précis must be written in English only.
- Appearance Consistency:
Your face/look must match the photograph uploaded in the application form (e.g., beard, spectacles, etc.). - OMR Sheet:
Use only black ball point pen to fill all entries in the OMR and attendance sheet. - Result Status:
The result is expected to be announced after a few weeks of the exam; only shortlisted candidates will be called for PET.
