1. Nationality: Indian citizen or eligible refugee with valid certificate.

2. Age: Minimum 18 years as of 01/01/2025; upper age limit varies by category (37 to 47 years) with relaxations.

3. Education:

   • 12th Pass from recognized board/university

   • English Shorthand & Typing certificates

   • Minimum 6-month computer application diploma

4. Typing Speed:

   • 80 words/min shorthand / 40 words/min typing

5. Character: Good moral character; no serious criminal record.

6. Physical Fitness: Medically fit; OH candidates must have minimum 40% disability.

7. Marital Status: No polygamy (male or female).

8. Reservation: As per Bihar state norms, including SC, ST, BC, EBC, EWS, Women (35%), and OH (4%).

9. Preferential: Preference to ex-TA or NCC ‘B’ certificate holders.

1. Written Test: It consists of three parts:

   • Part-A: English Shorthand Computer Typing Test (speed of 80 words per minute for 320 words)

   • Part-B: MCQ Based Objective Type test including English Language & Grammar and Computer Awareness

   • Part-C: English Typing Test (speed of 40 words per minute for 400 words)

2. Interview: Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for an interview carrying 10 marks.

3. Minimum Qualifying Standards:

   • 40% marks in Objective Written Test (Part-B) / 85% accuracy in English Shorthand Typing (Part-A)

   • 90% accuracy in English Typing (Part-C) / 30% marks in Interview

4. Shortlisting for interview will be done for three times the total number of vacancies, adhering to reservation policy. Candidates with equal marks as the last shortlisted candidate in each category will also be included.

5. Final selection will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview, following the reservation policy.

6. No re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheets will be entertained.

7. The selected candidates form a panel/waiting list valid for one year, extendable in case of exigency.

• The total number of vacancies (111) is tentative and subject to change by the High Court.

• Only online applications are accepted via the official website; no other mode is allowed.

• Each candidate may submit only one application; if multiple are submitted, the last valid one will be considered.

• No candidate, including those in the Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) category, will be exempted from appearing in any exam stage.

• Candidates already employed in Central/State Government or Public Undertakings must apply only after obtaining proper permission and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.

• No re-evaluation, re-checking, or scrutiny of answer sheets will be entertained.

• Admit cards will be issued online only; they will not be sent by post.

• Candidates must bring original documents and at least 8 copies of passport size photographs (same as uploaded) for verification during the interview.

• Mobile phones or any communication devices are prohibited inside the examination premises.

• Selection is provisional subject to eligibility verification; furnishing false or incomplete information may lead to disqualification at any stage.

• Candidates are advised to apply well before the last date to avoid website or technical issues as the High Court does not take responsibility for failed submissions.

• The selection panel/waiting list will be valid for one year and may be extended in case of exigency.

• All disputes related to the recruitment process will be under the jurisdiction of the Patna High Court only.

• Candidates using unfair means will be disqualified, and their results may be canceled.

• Reservation benefits are applicable only to candidates who can produce valid domicile and category certificates of Bihar.
