Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • For Graduate Apprentice posts (Engineering & Library Science):
      B.E./B.Tech degree or Graduation in Library Science/Library & Information Science with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA from any recognized university/technical board in the Southern Region (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry).
    • For Diploma (Technician Apprentice):
      Diploma in Engineering in any discipline with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA.
    • For Diploma in Commercial Practice:
      Pass in Diploma in Commercial Practice from a recognized board.
    • For Graduate Apprentice (General Stream):
      Graduation (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com.) with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA in any discipline.
  • Age and Timing:
    • Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination within last three years, i.e., during or after July 2023.
    • Candidates who have completed three years after acquiring the qualification are not eligible.
  • Nationality:
    • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Experience:
    • Candidates who are currently undergoing or have already undergone apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act, 1961 & Amendment Act, 1973, or have one year or more experience from any institution, are not eligible.
  • Mode of Study:
    • Only candidates who completed their exams as regular students are eligible.
    • Candidates with private degrees, sandwich courses, short-term courses, or pursuing higher studies (e.g., M.E./M.Tech) are not eligible.
  • Registration Requirement:
    • Candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in before applying.
  • Additional:
    • Aggregate marks in CGPA or % of marks must be verifiable from certificates.
    • Any discrepancy in certificates, marks, or personal data leads to disqualification.

Selection Process

NRSC Graduate and Technician Apprenticeship 2025-26

  • All received applications will be thoroughly screened.
  • Selection will be based on academic performance (marks/grades) at the Degree or Diploma level.
  • A merit-based selection panel will be prepared according to candidates’ academic scores.
  • Apprentices will be inducted strictly as per their position in the prepared panel, filling available training positions.
  • Only candidates who are selected will be communicated through offer letters sent via email.
  • No interim correspondence will be entertained regarding selection.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
  • Selected candidates must execute the contract of Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its Amendment Act, 1973.
  • Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.
  • The training period is for 12 months starting from the contract execution date.
  • Post-training, candidates will have no claim for employment at ISRO or NRSC centers.

Important facts to know before applying online form

NRSC Graduate and Technician Apprenticeship 2025-26 advertisement

  • The apprenticeship training is for a duration of 12 months starting from the execution of the apprenticeship contract.
  • Selected candidates must execute a contract of apprenticeship as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its Amendment Act 1973.
  • Candidates are required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.
  • The trainees will have no claim for employment at ISRO Headquarters Bengaluru or any other ISRO/Department of Space centers after completion of the training.
  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have completed three years after acquiring their qualification are not eligible.
  • Candidates currently undergoing or having completed Apprenticeship training before or having one year or more work experience are not eligible.
  • Only candidates who passed exams as regular students are eligible. Private degrees, sandwich courses, short term courses, or ongoing higher studies candidates are not eligible.
  • Registration on the NATS portal is mandatory before applying.
  • Women candidates are encouraged to apply to promote gender balance.
  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be applied as per Government of India rules.
  • Any discrepancy in the application or documents can lead to disqualification.
  • No traveling allowance is provided for candidates called for document verification.
  • No interim correspondence will be entertained; candidates can email recruit@nrsc.gov.in for clarifications.

How to Apply online form

NRSC Apprentice 2025

  • Candidates must fill the application online through the UMANG portal only:
    https://web.umang.gov.in/landing/
  • Candidates should first register on the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) to obtain an Apprenticeship Registration Number (Enrollment ID), which is mandatory to apply.
  • While applying on the UMANG portal, upload clear scanned copies of the following documents in jpg/jpeg/png format (sizes as specified):
    • Degree/Diploma mark sheets of all semesters/years (single file, max 1 MB)
    • Degree/Diploma certificate or provisional certificate or passing certificate (max 1 MB)
    • Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates, max 50 KB)
    • Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates)
    • Passport size photo (max 50 KB)
    • Signature (max 50 KB)
  • Use a valid and active email ID to register and apply. One application per email ID only is allowed to avoid duplication.
  • Enter accurate and verifiable details such as marks (CGPA or percentage), year and month of passing, etc., as any mismatch leads to disqualification.
  • After successful online registration, candidates will receive an Online Registration Number which should be preserved for future reference.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form and keep it safe to submit at the time of joining if selected. Sending the printout by post is not required.
  • All communication with candidates will be done via email only. Responsibility of downloading and printing offer letters lies with the candidates.
  • Avoid sending duplicate or multiple applications from different emails.
