- Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.
- Departmental candidates are generally exempted from PST and PET.
- PET is qualifying in nature; failure in any event results in elimination.
- UR/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹100 per post
- SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen/BSF Departmental/Compassionate: Fee waived
- All have to pay service charge ₹59 extra (through CSC)

- Examination and Selection Process
- Phase 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) using RFID gadgets.
- Phase 2: Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering:
- Physics (40 questions – 80 marks)
- Mathematics (20 questions – 40 marks)
- Chemistry (20 questions – 40 marks)
- English and General Knowledge (20 questions – 40 marks)
- Phase 3: Document Verification, Dictation Test (only for HC(RO)), Paragraph Reading Test (only for HC(RO)), and Medical Examination.
- Total questions: 100 / Total marks: 200
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer applies.
- The test will be conducted in English and Hindi.
- For Head Constable (Radio Operator):
- The final merit is based on marks in CBT plus Dictation Test (50 marks).
- Dictation Test and Paragraph Reading Test are also part of selection.
- For Head Constable (Radio Mechanic):
- Final merit is based on CBT marks only.
- General/OBC/EWS: 38% / SC/ST: 33%

- Register: Do One Time Registration (OTR), save username and password.
- Fill the application form: Enter required personal details, qualification and select post (HC(RO) or HC(RM)). Clear preference order if applying for both.
Upload documents: Photo, signature, educational certificate, caste/category certificate, EWS/ESM/NOC etc.
- Pay fee: Male candidates have to pay online fee of ₹100 per post. Fee exemption or ₹59 service charge applicable for certain categories.
- Submit form: Submit and keep a copy of the form.

Medical Standards:
- Candidates must be physically and mentally fit.
- No serious medical issues or chronic diseases.
- Visual standard: Uncorrected visual acuity restrictions apply; color blindness test as per ISIHARA.
- No disabilities or conditions such as flat foot, severe varicose veins, knock-knees, etc.
- No tattoo beyond permissible limits (location and size restrictions).
- Medical examination includes physical check-up, urine, hemoglobin, chest X-ray.
- Female candidates undergo pregnancy test before X-ray.
- Candidates found unfit on medical grounds may apply for Review Medical Examination only once.
Other Important Instructions:
- Candidates must bring original certificates for verification.
- Submission of proper caste, domicile, income certificates as applicable.
- Candidates involved in malpractice or carrying mobiles/electronic devices inside examination venues will be disqualified.
- Online application is mandatory; offline applications are not accepted.
