Eligibility & Qualification

Data Entry Operator – Grade C	Finance Dept., Patna	Graduation in Mathematics / Commerce / Economics / Statistics & PGDCA / BCA / B.Sc (IT) / B.Tech (CS/IT) from recognized institution.
Auditor (Finance Dept.)	Finance Department	Graduation in Commerce / Mathematics / Economics / Statistics.
Auditor (Co-operative Dept.)	Co-operative Department	Graduation in Commerce / Mathematics / Economics / Statistics.

Note:

The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Permanent residents of Bihar state will get the benefit of reservation.
Only degree obtained from recognized university/institute will be valid.
Final year students cannot apply, only pass candidates will be eligible.
Computer Diploma/IT Qualification is mandatory for technical posts (like Data Entry Operator).
Age limit(as on 01/08/2025)

Application Fee

By the resolution number-15568, dated 21.08.2025 of the General Administration Department, Bihar, Patna, only Rs. 100/- (one hundred rupees) has been fixed as examination fee for each candidate.
In view of the above, Clause-4 (Examination Fee) of the advertisement has been amended and the amount of examination fee for each candidate is fixed at Rs. 100/- (one hundred rupees) only.

Selection Process

1. Preliminary Examination

When will it be conducted? – If the number of applications is more than 40,000 then Prelims will be taken.
Question Type – Objective (Multiple Choice Questions).
Subjects:
General Studies
General Science & Mathematics
Mental Ability / Reasoning
Level of Question Paper – Graduation level.
Marks – 150 Marks (Approx.)
Negative Marking – 1/3 marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
Qualifying Criteria – 5 times the number of vacancies will be called for Mains.

2. Main Examination

Only candidates who qualify Prelims will be able to appear in Mains.
Question Type – Objective.
Subjects:
Paper-1: General Hindi (Qualifying Nature, min. 30%)
Paper-2: General Studies, Science & Mathematics, Mental Ability, Reasoning (Merit-based).
Final Merit List – Will be based on Mains marks.

3. Document Verification

Certificates of the candidates qualifying Mains will be checked.
It will be mandatory to submit all Educational Qualification, Age Proof, Caste/Category Certificate, Domicile and other documents.

4.Final Selection

Important facts to know before applying online form

Applications will be accepted only through online mode; offline forms will not be valid.
If the number of applications is more than 40,000, then Prelims Exam will be conducted first, otherwise Mains Exam will be conducted directly.
Prelims Exam will be of qualifying nature only, its marks will not be added to the merit.
The result of Mains Exam will decide the Final Merit List.
Computer Qualification (PGDCA/BCA/BSc-IT/B.Tech CS/IT) is mandatory for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO).
Candidates should upload their photo, signature and all certificates in the correct format while applying.
Fill the form before the last date of application so that Server Error or Last Date Rush can be avoided.
Keep the printout safe after applying, which will be useful in Document Verification.

Click on the link "Apply Online (CGL-4 2025)".
New Registration
Click on "New Registration" and fill in your name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth etc.
A Registration ID and Password will be sent to your mobile/email.
Login & Fill Application Form
Login with Registration ID and Password.
Fill Personal Details, Educational Qualification and Category Details correctly.
Upload Documents
Passport size photo (JPEG, 20kb–50kb)
Signature (JPEG, 10kb–20kb)
Educational Certificate (Graduation/Technical Qualification)
Category/Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
Pay Application Fee.
Preview & Submit Form
Check the filled application form carefully.
Click on "Final Submit".
Print Application Form
After submission, take a printout of the Application Form and Payment Receipt and keep it safe for future.
